Rights activist Celestine Akpobari has said that the job of Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtrd) as the Sole Administrator of Rivers state is over.
This statement comes after Rivers State’s state assembly members, governor Siminalayi Fubara, and his predecessor Nyesom Wike called off their previous feud and reached an agreement to work together following their meeting with Tinubu.

Akpobari, who is a member of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project’s (HYPREP) Governing Council, made this statement on Monday during his guest appearance on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief.
He also warned Ibas against spending from the N1,485,662,592,442 2025 Rivers State Appropriation Bill recently approved by the Senate on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Recall that Ibas had earlier appeared before the senate to defend the Rivers budget after which it was approved by the house.
