I will return to my welding job after my tenure – Governor Sule
Following the conclusion of his term in office, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has made known his plans to resume his earlier career as a qualified welder.

Governor Sule shared thoughts on his technical origins during a roundtable discussion hosted in Abuja at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) in collaboration with the Nasarawa State Government.
He noted, “Actually, I began my education as a technician, specifically as a welder, before becoming a CNC machinist and so on.” He further stated, “Believe it or not, shielded arc metal welding, oxyacetylene welding – I intend to return to welding once my time as governor is over.”

The governor highlighted the significant investments his administration has made in technical education with the goal of developing a highly skilled workforce for the state. “We have constructed one of the most advanced technical institutions, according to the NBTE,” he explained.

“In fact, many prominent companies operating here in Abuja conduct their training in Nasarawa at that very institution.”
