Shocking: NDLEA Nabs Indian Woman with ‘Chocolate’ Heroin
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has revealed that a staff member intercepted at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano was a 42-year-old Indian lady with 72 sealed factory parcels of heroin contained in a wafer wrap and packaged as chocolates.
According to a statement issued by the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi on Sunday, the luggage had been searched within the airport’s arrival hall and found to contain an 11kg consignment stolen from Ms. Neetu.

The operation, which is said to be founded on credible intelligence, was carried out as the arrival clearance of Qatar Airways flight QR1431 from Bangkok, Thailand, via Vietnam and Doha was under way on the 14th of March in now-2025.
In reaction to the arrest, Brig Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd.), NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, harped on a disturbing trend where drug cartels were being said to have hired foreign nationals, including white women, to traffic drugs through the country.
“Such ever-escalating tactic issued by drug trafficking organizations has continuously been thronged by vigilance of our officers with the aid of modern technological tool and proactive intelligence,” Marwa said.

In yet another successful operation by NDLEA in Kano, the operatives arrested a 45-year-old suspect Michael Ogundele on Thursday with a 50-litre steel gas cylinder at Gadar Tamburawa, along Zaria-Kano road.
After cutting the cylinder, using welding tools, the officers discovered and recovered 50,000 pills of tramadol 225mg concealed inside.
Likewise in Gunduwawa, Kano, a 40-year-old suspect named Sunday Ogar was arrested this Wednesday, caught with skunk weighing 27kg.
Another suspect apprehended was a 40-year-old woman referred to as Khadijah Abdullahi caught with 424 bottles of codeine syrup at Lungun Bulala Yalwa on Tuesday.
In Mushin, said NDLEA, were also arrested Olumuyiwa Kolawole and Samod Adisa as they had or were in possession of about 67.5kg skunk. Another 100.8kg of the same substance has been recovered from the storeroom of two fugitive suspects at Anifowoshe, Mushin.
Another suspect apprehended in Apapa on Tuesday was found in possession of 4.5kg of cannabis, 600 grams of tramadol 225mg, and 30 litres of syrup containing codeine.
Even that very day, Yahaya not only caught in Ikotun with a variety of crack cocaine but also with heroin and methamphetamine as well.

Not only that, but also NDLEA formations across the country have intensified War Against Drug Abuse efforts nationwide by conducting their sensitization programs in schools, markets, work places, and through religious centers.
Recent activities included lectures held at Chrisland School, Ikeja, Lagos; Hakimi Secondary School, Mokwa, Niger State; Marist Comprehensive College, Nteje, Anambra State; Ikole City College, Ikole Ekiti, Ekiti State; Government Day Secondary School, Sunane, Sokoto State; and Government Day Secondary School, Jada, Adamawa State.
