Reports indicate that operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) directed journalists to leave the courtroom shortly before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik took her seat.

The directive was said to have been issued on the order of the presiding judge from Court.

Following the instruction, journalists complied and vacated the courtroom.

The development comes amid growing public interest in the case of the six defendants, who were arraigned last Wednesday by the Federal Government over an alleged attempted coup.

Others are Bukar Goni and Abdulkadir Sani, both Islamic clerics based in Zaria.
