Muhammad Babangida, the son of the previous military president, has been appointed chairman of the redesigned Bank of Agriculture(BOA) by Nigerian President Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Today, President Tinubu and seven other people approved the appointment.

Some of those selected will be chairman or directors-general of Federal agencies, according to a statement released on his verified X handle and signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy.

53 years old Muhammad Babangida graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Public Relations and Business Communication from the European University in Montreux, Switzerland. Later, in 2002, he enrolled in the Executive Program on Corporate Governance at Harvard Business School.

In addition to the BOA appointment, President Tinubu has also appointed:

Lydia Kalat Musa, the chairman of the Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority (OGFZA) in Kaduna State.

Chairman of the National Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) is Jamilu Wada Aliyu of Kano State.

The chairman of the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) is Hon. Yahuza Ado Inuwa of Kano State.

The Chairman of the Institute of Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) is Sanusi Musa (SAN, Kano State).
