The All Progressives Congress (APC) has demanded the cancellation of the ongoing Kano by-election in the Shanono-Bagwai constituency and the rerun election in the Ghari constituency of Kano State.
In a statement released on Saturday, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, alleged that the elections were marred by widespread violence and disruptions carried out by armed thugs at numerous polling units.
According to Morka, the chaos in Kano by-election forced many voters to flee polling stations, while security personnel deployed to maintain order were overwhelmed by the scale of the attacks.
According to him, the situation in Kano By-Election makes the conduct of a credible election impossible.
