Labour Party crisis: Group accuses of Abure of executing APC's Agenda
A socio-political organisation, Abia Concerned Citizens, has accused the Julius Abure faction of the Labour Party, LP, of following a script provided for them by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in order to destabilise opposition parties and enjoy free reign.

The group particularly accused the factional head of acting as a “APC mole.”

Rose Ugoh, Director General of the group, announced this in Abuja yesterday.

She said that evidence of Abure’s treason can be found in almost every line of a statement made by the factional National Secretary, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim, in which he requested President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the Labour Party conflict.

Ugoh contended that all true Labour Party members had accepted the Supreme Court’s decision and were working towards reconciliation, whilst Abure and his cohorts were seeking to destroy the party by externalising the disagreement.

In her words, “What steps did he (Abure) take when Labour Party National Assembly members defected to the APC?

“Is it not this the same Abure who had the audacity to claim the party suspended the best performing governor in Nigeria, the best governor in the history of the South Est?

“Governor Alex Otti has transformed Abia State, leading in key sectors such as energy, security, and education.

“Otti has become a model for good governance in Nigeria, transforming Abia State across the energy sector, economy, industrialization, security, education, and more.
