Senator Ned Nwoko from Delta North Senatorial District disclosed that he received over N1 billion for constituency projects in the 2024 budget, echoing Senator Ali Ndume’s assertion that allocation varies based on project size.
Nwoko emphasized that senators obtain funds through lobbying and highlighted the need for uniformity in allocations.
He clarified that the funds are for community projects, not personal gain. This revelation follows allegations of budget padding by Senator Abdul Ningi. Nwoko reiterated that the funds are for projects, not personal reimbursement.
