President Trump signs powerful memo declaring anti-Christian views as domestic terrorism
A directive signed signed on September 25 by US President Trump gives the national Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) the authority to “investigate, prosecute, and disrupt entities and individuals” involved in domestic terrorism.

Anti-Christian, anti-capitalist, and anti-American sentiments were designated as “common threads” of domestic terrorism under the order.

President Trump also claimed that his support for overthrowing the US government, his hatred of people who adhere to traditional American values of family, religion, and morality, and his fanaticism on migration, race, and gender were all examples of domestic terrorism.

“These movements portray foundational American principles (e.g., support for law enforcement and border control) as ‘fascist’ to justify and encourage acts of violent revolution,” the memo reads.

“This ‘anti-fascist’ lie has become the organizing rallying cry used by domestic terrorists to wage a violent assault against democratic institutions, constitutional rights, and fundamental American liberties.”

According to the US president, the JTTF will look into “possible” offences including the recruitment or radicalisation of individuals for the specified activities.

Targeting NGOs and American nationals living overseas or having close connections to foreign governments, agents, citizens, foundations, or influence networks involved in money laundering by establishing, funding, or assisting organisations that promote or support domestic terrorism was another mandate given to the JTTF.

President Trump requested that the task team give investigations into offences including financing terrorist attacks or otherwise aiding terrorists top priority.

Conversations concerning a purported Christian genocide in Nigeria have been reignited in recent days by Nigerian and American social media users.

According to reports last month, since the beginning of 2025, more Christians have been slain in Nigeria than Palestinians in Gaza.

Despite dismissal of those claims by designated authorities, those views resurfaced in the recent online conversations.
