Oriyomi Hamzat responds to calls to exhume the late Alao Akala’s body: “Stop using government funds to amass wealth”
In a recently circulated video, Agidigbo FM CEO Oriyomi Hamzat counseled present government officials to refrain from benefiting themselves with public funds.
His remarks coincide with a request from the family of the late former governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Alao-Akala, for his body to be exhumed so that a DNA test can be performed.

Otunba Christopher Alao-Akala, the late former governor of Oyo State, has a family drama that was made public yesterday. Mrs. Oluwatoyin Alao-Aderinto, his first daughter, has filed a lawsuit, requesting a DNA test to confirm whether seven people claiming to be his children are, in fact, biologically connected to him.
In order to settle the ongoing disagreement over who should inherit the late governor’s estate—he passed away intestate in January 2022—she is also asking the court to authorize the exhumation of his body in order to do a DNA test.
Oluwatoyin has requested that the findings of the DNA test be sent in a sealed envelope straight to the sitting judge.
After the burial, a private family dispute turned into a public dispute in 2022 when two additional cousins obtained legal claims to the estate without her knowledge or approval.
Numerous properties in Ibadan, Lagos, Abuja, the United Kingdom, and the United States are reportedly part of the vast estate at the heart of the dispute.

In addition, it has a fleet of high-end cars, a five-star hotel in Ghana, and multiple bank accounts with hundreds of millions of dollars, pounds sterling, and naira.
Oriyomi Hamzat responded to the aforementioned incident by expressing his disgust with the family fight over the late governor’s estate and emphasizing that the late governor will be turning in his grave in this manner because they do not want him to rest in peace.
Speaking to people in positions of authority, including the president, senators, governors, members of the House of Representatives, and others, the media expert claimed that many of them would stop at nothing, including murder, to get power. He further alleged that once in office, they divert public funds meant for the people to enrich themselves.
Oriyomi Hamzat concluded that nobody knows tomorrow while stressing that the good deeds they do today while in government will speak for them after they passed away.
