The Coalition for Democracy and Development has issued an ultimatum to FCT minister and the now suspended Governor of Rivers state Fubara, demanding both parties to sign a peace pact within a period of 90 days or face the consequences.

The coalition issued this warning in a statement signed by its convener George Ifure . The coalition stressed that the lingering political crisis in the state is a clear pointer of the pursuit of selfish gains by the FCT minister Nyesom Wike and Fubara.

The coalition cautioned and warned both Wike and Fubara stating that they would be held accountable for everything going on in Rivers state if they refused to make peace. The coalition in its statement further criticized actions of  Wike and Fubara that heightened the political crisis in the state , stressing again that both parties prioritized personal interests over the well being of Rivers people.
