The Nigerian Police rescued an old woman in Jigawa from kidnappers.

The Nigerian Police Force, Jigawa State Police Command, has rescued an 80-year-old woman, Hajia Hajara, and killed five suspected kidnappers in an exchange.
State Commissioner of Police CP A.T. Abdullahi disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the command’s headquarters in Dutse.
According to him, “The kidnappers, armed and riding motorcycles, had taken the victim from her home in Minjibir Local Government Area of Kano State following the report, personal were mobilized and the victim was rescued unhurt and reunited with her family.”
CP. Abdullahi explained that during the operation, the police killed five suspects and arrested five suspected criminals.
He added that the police also recovered two AK-47 rifles, one Multipurpose Machine Gun, 14 live ammunition, and other exhibits.
He commended the officers and men of the Gumel and Ringim Area Commands, members of vigilantes, hunters, and Yan Bulala for their bravery and diligence in the operation.
He noted that some of the suspects had been taken to court, while others were assisting in investigations.
