Tinubu Renames UniAbuja as Yakubu Gowon University
The sitting president Bola Ahmed Tinubu AKA BAT has approved the renaming of Abuja University after the former Head of State General Yakubu Gowon.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, stated this after the meeting of the FEC presided over by the President on wednesday at the Presidential villa in the Federal Captial Territory Abuja.
The university therefore will be named Yakubu Gowon University in great honour of the former Head of State, although this is subject to the House of Assembly approval.
