The Presidency on Thursday stated that President Tinubu remains fully engaged in running the affairs of the country despite being away for nearly two weeks.
According to it, Tinubu’s absence is still only temporary and falls within the two-week timetable that was mentioned.
Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, revealed that the President will return to the country after the Easter holiday.

Bayo Onanuga disclosed this in a statement which read, “The President left Paris for London at the weekend and has maintained constant communication with key government officials, overseeing critical national matters, including directives to security chiefs to address emerging threats in some parts of the country.
“His return to Abuja and the resumption of duties at Aso Villa will follow the conclusion of the Easter holiday.
“The President’s commitment to his duties remains unwavering, and his administration continues to function effectively under his leadership.
“We appreciate the public’s concern and assure all Nigerians that governance proceeds without interruption.”
The presidency however did not give any specific information concerning the reason for the visit to Paris and London although it is consistent with the president’s practice of making work-related trips since taking office almost two years ago.
The statement on Thursday was reportedly made in reaction to criticism from the opposition, which questioned Tinubu’s decision to remain overseas when the nation was suffering from a high number of murders, especially in the states of Plateau and Benue.
