A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dele Momodu, has stated that his publication, Ovation magazine, played a significant role in shaping the political rise of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.

According to Momodu, Ovation magazine elevated Wike’s public image and contributed to the stature he enjoys today, a gesture he claims the minister has failed to acknowledge.
Momodu’s comments were in response to a recent remark by him, who referred to him as a “boy” during a national television appearance and implied that he was a failed politician, noting that Momodu contested for the presidency but failed to secure a single vote.
Speaking on Channels Television on Monday, Momodu said: “Wike benefits immensely from my talent and the pedigree of Ovation Media Group.
“We pushed him up. You know they say sometimes you can take the man out of the bush, but you can’t take the bush out of the man.
“He had one major problem, and that problem was too much alcohol.”
