Supervisors were trained in the Process and Results Verification for Transparency (PRVT) methodology used in election observation.
- #WatchingTheVote Project: The training is part of the #WatchingTheVote initiative, supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), aimed at building citizens’ confidence in the elections conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
- Non-Partisan Reporting: Mbamalu emphasized the importance of non-partisan and objective reporting of pre-election activities, including security issues, INEC activities, voter education, and violence monitoring.
PRVT Methodology:
- The PRVT methodology uses sound statistical principles and a representative sample of polling units to provide stakeholders with credible, independent, and objective information on the election process, reflecting true voting patterns and conduct on election day.

INEC’s Head of Elections and Political Parties, Mr. Akpoguma Emmanuel, highlighted ongoing INEC activities and emphasized the importance of sharing pre-election observations with INEC to aid in planning and risk mitigation.
