Years after revealing that he dropped out of Kwara State Polytechnic, street-pop singer Portable has expressed his desire to return to school, saying he still hopes to complete his education despite achieving success in the music industry.
The singer disclosed this during an appearance on the popular Honest Brunch Podcast, scheduled for release on where he reflected on his educational journey, struggles with school fees and his rise to fame.
Portable revealed he was forced to put his education on hold as a result of financial constraints . He recalled that he sold sachet water while trying to stay in school before eventually dropping out after he could no longer afford the fees.
He said, “I go still finish school as I dey like this. I no finish school.”
Explaining further, the singer explained that he had no sponsor to support his education, making it impossible for him to continue his studies.
“I no see anybody to sponsor me again. The school fees is high. I go still finish school as I dey like this,” he added.
The musician revealed that he used Kwara Poly’s indigenous quota to gain entrance, where he studied business administration before dropping university.
He claims that leaving the school is still one of his greatest regrets.
Despite not having a postsecondary degree, Portable also considered how his life had improved and mentioned that he now has family obligations.

Backstory…
Meanwhile, the singer’s recent claims comes just three days after he claimed that wealth and fame are beginning to affect the creativity of some of the country’s biggest music stars.
According to Portable, their songs now focus more on women, luxury, and extravagant lifestyles, rather than delivering messages that inspire, educate, or motivate listeners.
Recall that the singer recently survived a lone accident just hours before the naming ceremony of his newborn baby.
The incident reportedly occurred on in Ogun State after the singer experienced brake failure while driving.
