Former presidential assistant and social media political analyst, Reno Omokri has claimed that Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, ordered the murder of more than 50 soldiers, 24 police officers, and several civilians in the Southeast.

Speaking in an interview on Channels TV on Wednesday, Reno Omokri responded to Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, who said that the current prosecution of Nnamdi Kanu is illogical.

Reno Omokri asserted that he has video proof of the IPOB commander ordering his followers to commit the horrible act.

He also alleged that in the video, Kanu ordered for Lagos State to be burnt down.

In response to Peter Obi’s claim, Reno Omokri defended Kanu’s trial by raising concerns about why the former presidential candidate reportedly did not denounce the actions of IPOB and unidentified gunmen in the Southeast.

He said, “Peter Obi said the trial of Nnamdi Kanu does not make sense. Listen, I have a video which we cannot play here because of BBC, you heard him telling his supporters to kill soldiers, burn down Lagos.

“After that video, do you know how many soldiers died in the Southeast? Over 50 died, as a matter of fact, there was an army couple that were killed and beheaded in Imo.

“160 Police stations were shut down in the Southeast because IPOB, unknown gunmen and ESN attacked them and killed 24 policemen.

“How can you say the trial of a person who killed these people does not make sense?”
