Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has confirmed plans for a joint project with American R&B singer Chris Brown, which is expected to be released next year.
Speaking in a recent episode of the Swift Conversations podcast, Davido revealed that while he is currently focusing more on creating music with strong African influences, he remains open to collaborations with international artists, including those from the United States.
“The music I am making now is very African. In this next project, I am working with a lot of my original producers from back home.
“However, I am still an American so definitely there’s going to be collaborations. Me and Chris Brown got an album coming next year,” he stated.
Davido and Chris Brown first collaborated on the hit track ‘Blow My Mind’ in 2019. Since then the duo have collaborated on about five songs.
They have been hinting on a joint project for sometime now, with Davido first teasing it in 2023.
He revealed that they have a lot of unreleased songs together.
