Popular Nigerian Afrobeat singers, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Asake and Tems have been nominated for the 2026 BET Awards.
Meanwhile, comedian Druski will host the awards ceremony, which will take place in Los Angeles on June 28, 2026, and will be broadcast live on ET on BET.
In addition, the annual nominations were announced on Tuesday, with several Nigerian artists recognised across different music categories.
Asake and Wizkid received a joint nomination in the Best Group category after working together on a project and releasing several hits.
Tems received three nominations, including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and BET Her Award for her song “First,” making her one of Africa’s most renowned contenders.
Similarly, Burna Boy was nominated for Best Collaboration category for his feature on Gunna’s hit single, WGFT.
