Former senator representing Jigawa Central, Sabo Muhammad Nakudu, has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Speaking shortly after registering with the party in Dutse, the state capital, Nakudu explained that his departure from the All Progressives Congress (APC) was driven by a desire to align with a more inclusive platform focused on grassroots development and internal party democracy.
Reports indicate that Sabo Muhammad Nakudu had recently resigned from the APC.
Sabo Muhammad expressed confidence that the ADC offers a viable alternative capable of addressing the pressing challenges facing Jigawa State.

The former senator also officially announced his intention to run for the governorship in the 2027 general elections under the ADC banner.
“Our decision follows extensive consultation and careful consideration. We are convinced that the ADC offers a credible platform to realise our vision for a better Jigawa,” he said.
