BACKSTORY…
This move comes barely three days after the Progressive governors forum (PGF) reportedly fired Uzodimma as its chairman and appointed Enugu State gov, Peter Mbah.
However, the Director-General of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Folorunsho Aluko, dismissed reports alleging Uzodimma’s removal as chairman.
In a statement issued on Friday morning, Aluko said the forum did not hold any meeting on the matter and that it took no such decision.
He said, “No meeting of the forum was held at which any such decision was taken. The PGF Secretariat has no record of, and is not aware of, any resolution removing the chairman.”
