On a beautiful evening at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea FC put eight goals past their opponents, Noah FC on Thursday’s Europa Conference League Match.
Chelsea netted six goals in the first half with the first goal coming from Tosin Adarabioyo in the 12th minute. And a minute later, Marc Guiu made it 2-0. Other goals came from Axel Disasi in the 18th minute, João Félix in the 21st minute followed by Mykhaylo Mudryk in the 39th, and João Félix again in the 41st minute of the first half.
Both teams made Several changes in the second half before the seventh goal coming from Nkunku in the 69th minute for Chelsea. Nkunku then rounded off the humiliating night for Noah FC with a deft finish from the penalty spot in the 76th minute.
The match ended with Chelsea dominating 56% of ball possession, 31 total shots with 16 shots on target and 8 goals indicating a 50% conversion rate.
Chelsea currently sits atop the table with nine points from three games.
Meanwhile, Manchester United got past their Greek counterparts, PAOK with two goals to nil at Old Trafford In their Europa League fixture.
Two goals from Amad Diallo in the second half put Man Utd in a more comfortable position as the match gradually ended. There were a few goal attempts from PAOK but none could really be converted.
Man Utd currently sits in 15th position on the Europa League table with 6 points from 4 games (1 win and 3 draws). Hopefully, this win will give them the much-needed momentum to carry on.
The match ended with Man Utd taking the lion’s share of possession at 53%, 16 total shots, and 4 shots on target.
This will be the 2nd game in charge for Ruud Van-Nistelrooy, who sits in as an interim coach until Sporting’s Ruben Amorim resumes to take charge.
Chelsea face Arsenal in the English Premier League. This is poised to be an interesting match for the weekend.
