Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is back on the pitch after a two-month injury layoff, raising hopes for his return to the Super Eagles in the upcoming FIFA international break (March 18-24).

Ndidi Makes Long-Awaited Return for Leicester:

Ndidi came on as a second-half substitute in Leicester City’s 1-0 win over Sunderland on Tuesday. This marked his first appearance since December 29th, 2023.

A Huge Boost for Leicester’s Promotion Push:

Ndidi’s return is a major positive for Leicester City, who are currently leading the Championship table and aiming for an immediate return to the Premier League.

What about the Super Eagles?:

While the official opponents for the upcoming international break haven’t been announced yet, Nigerian fans are hoping Ndidi stays fit. Crucial World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Zimbabwe are coming up in June.

Filling the Gap During AFCON:

In Ndidi’s absence at the 2023 AFCON, Alhassan Yusuf (Antwerp) and Frank Onyeka (Brentford) stepped up admirably for the Super Eagles.

Ndidi: Ready to Contribute Again:

Despite missing the AFCON, Ndidi is excited to be back playing and remains committed to the national team’s success.
