Nigeria’s table tennis teams are dominating at the African Games, securing spots in the next round of the team events!
Men’s Team on a Roll:
The men’s team, led by Matthew Kuit and Amadi Omeh, swept their group with two convincing 3-0 victories. They first dismantled Mauritania and then outclassed the Democratic Republic of Congo. Now, they set their sights on the quarterfinals!
Women’s Team Makes a Statement:
The women’s team, featuring Offiong Edem, Esther Oribamise, and Fatimo Bello, mirrored the men’s success. They secured two dominant wins against Madagascar and Algeria, booking their place in the coveted semifinals.
Edem and Aruna Earn Individual Accolades:
Before the team triumphs, Offiong Edem brought home a bronze medal in the women’s singles event. Additionally, Quadri Aruna secured a silver medal in the men’s singles event, narrowly falling in the final.
Looking Ahead:
