In a shocking move to the football world, Real Madrid’s gaffer, Carlo Ancelotti, has told Radioestadio Noche on Onda Cero that he is set to leave the Spanish giants at the end of the 2024/2025 season.
The 65-year-old Italian tactician had signed a 3-year contract in December 2023 to keep him till 2026.
Ancelotti has earned the title of Real Madrid’s greatest manager of all time. This was bestowed on him after he secured his 15th trophy with the club, following their triumph in the Intercontinental Cup in Qatar.
Speculations going on are that Ancelotti is currently happy with the team, but he is also ready to take on a new challenge that may involve managing a national team.
Xabi Alonso has been seen by favourites as the next Real Madrid coach, should Carlo Ancelloti resign from his position as head coach of the Spanish giants.
Alonso led Bayern Leverkusen to their Bundesliga title triumph last season.
