Sancho Exit From Man United Looms Large With Hefty Price Tag
Jadon Sancho’s future at Manchester United seems increasingly uncertain. After a falling out with manager Erik ten Hag, the 23-year-old winger was loaned back to Borussia Dortmund in January. However, the loan deal doesn’t include a purchase option, meaning a return to Old Trafford is expected this summer.
Sancho Prefers Dortmund Stay, United Seeks Compensation
Reports from SKY Germany suggest Sancho is keen on a permanent stay with Dortmund, who are also interested in making the deal happen. Manchester United, on the other hand, is looking to recoup some of their investment. Having paid a hefty £73 million for Sancho in 2021, they’re reportedly demanding €40 million (around half the original price) to part ways with the winger permanently.
Finding Common Ground Crucial
Sancho’s contract with United runs until 2026. Both clubs face the challenge of finding a solution that works for everyone. An amicable agreement in the coming months is likely necessary to resolve this situation.
