Benin are currently Group C’s leaders with seventeen points and a two-goal difference ahead of the match against Nigeria. This match is tagged a must-win for the Super Eagles, who could get a direct qualification to the 2026 World Cup or potentially compete in the playoffs in November for the ticket.

This will be a great moment in history for Benin should they win or draw with Nigeria, as they would qualify for the World Cup for the first time.

The Cheetahs will be looking to capitalize on South Africa’s point deduction for fielding an extra player as against FIFA’s rules. They currently top Group C after winning their last matchday 9 match against Rwanda. While Nigeria will be gunning to beat Benin and hoping that South Africa loses or draws its own match.
