Speaking on The Morning Show on Arise Television on Monday, Sambo described Fubara as one of the biggest disappointments to his supporters in Rivers State, claiming that the state currently lacks clear political direction.

He further alleged that supporters of the governor appear uncertain about his political standing and future direction.

According to Sambo, Fubara is reportedly seeking an automatic party ticket while also relying on President Bola Tinubu to help counter the political influence of former governor Nyesom Wike in Rivers State.

He said, “What else would you expect from someone who has not clearly defined his political direction? At this point, it is difficult to even place Governor Fubara as a politician whose voice carries weight in the current political space.

“He has really lost ground. I understand he is pushing for an automatic ticket and banking on the President to help balance the influence of the Wike structure in Rivers politics. That is why he has been engaging traditional rulers in the southern region to rally support for President Tinubu.

“I commend the effort, but I can say he has become one of the biggest political disappointments to his supporters in Rivers State because there is no clear direction. Everything appears scattered, and people are simply confused.”

Sambo’s comments add to ongoing political discussions surrounding the dynamics in Rivers State and the shifting alliances ahead of future elections.
