The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 37 suspected internet fraudsters in Wukari, Taraba State.
The suspects were arrested on Wednesday, August 27, 2027, by operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate during a raid on a hideout located behind the Federal University, Wukari, Taraba. The operation followed credible intelligence linking the individuals to cybercrime activities.
Items recovered from the scene include two vehicles, 12 laptops, and 46 mobile phones.
The anti-graft agency in a post via its official X account on Wednesday, said the suspects will be arraigned in court as soon as investigations are concluded.
