Nigerian rapper and singer Odumodublvck has alleged that the police have made several attempts to arrest him over complaints reportedly lodged against him by people with whom he is currently in conflict.
The controversy dates back to June 2026, when Odumodublvck made a series of posts on X accusing fellow rapper Blaqbonez of sexual abuse and claiming that certain figures in the Nigerian music industry were attempting to protect him.
Blaqbonez subsequently threatened legal action against Odumodublvck over the allegations.
Addressing the controversy in an interview, Blaqbonez said he initially chose not to respond because he was unconcerned about being portrayed as the “bad guy.”
However, he explained that he decided to speak out after Odumodublvck made the sexual abuse allegation against him.
Amid their ongoing dispute, Odumodublvck recently claimed during a concert that his clash with those involved was connected to his attempt to expose what he described as an alleged cover-up.
“In Nigeria, I have a case, and the police have tried to arrest me several times because of the people who went to report me to them because I’ve been raging war against them.
“They try to arrest me, so anytime you hear that I have been arrested, just know that it’s because of Blaqbonez.
“They are trying to cover up a sexual abuser. M.I Abaga, Ice Prince, all of them are covering up a sexual abuser, but they cannot take me down,” he claimed.
BACKSTORY:
The controversy stems from a public feud between Nigerian rappers Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez that intensified in June 2026.
Odumodublvck made a series of allegations against Blaqbonez on X, including an accusation of sexual abuse, while also claiming that some influential figures in the Nigerian music industry were protecting him. The allegations were made by Odumodublvck and have not been established as fact.
Blaqbonez denied the accusations and threatened to take legal action against Odumodublvck. He later explained during an interview that he initially chose not to respond to the online attacks but decided to speak out after the allegations became more serious.
The dispute has since drawn other prominent figures into the conversation. During a recent concert, Odumodublvck claimed that attempts by the police to arrest him were connected to complaints made against him by people involved in the ongoing dispute.
He further named music stars M.I Abaga and Ice Prince, accusing them of participating in what he described as a cover-up. Neither the allegations against Blaqbonez nor Odumodublvck’s claims against the other artistes have been independently established in the information provided.
