Tinubu Enacts Minimum Wage Legislation
President Bola Tinubu signed the National Minimum Wage Bill into law on Monday, in the presence of National Assembly leaders during a Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting. This marks the first time that the legislature’s leadership has joined the FEC meeting. Senate President Godswill Akpabio led the group, including Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and other key members. The gathering was reportedly convened urgently, possibly in response to proposed protests.
