President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has postponed his planned travel to Luanda, Angola, and Johannesburg, South Africa, in order to receive further security briefings about the abduction of Kebbi schoolgirls and the attack on members of the Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, Kwara State.
This was contained in a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Wednesday in Abuja.

According to the statement, Tinubu has instructed the police to pursue the bandits who attacked worshippers and ordered the deployment of additional security personnel to Eruku and the state’s whole Ekiti Local Government Area.

Reports according to sources reveal that President Tinubu was supposed to depart Abuja on Wednesday to attend the 20th G20 Summit of South African leaders before travelling to Luanda to join the 7th AU-EU Summit.

The statement claims that the President reaffirmed his order to the security services to take all necessary steps to free the 24 schoolgirls who were kidnapped by the bandits and return them home safely.
