The spokesperson for the Mohammed-Wike faction, Jungudo Mohammed, warned that the party would not put up with any interference with PDP secretariat operations and characterised the police action as “adherence to the rule of law”.
“This action is a clear demonstration of respect for constitutional order and due process. All individuals and groups are advised to conduct themselves within the bounds of the law, as security agencies have been duly alerted to take necessary action against violators,” he said.

‘CONTEMPTUOUS ACTION’
He claimed that it allowed “agents of the federal government and APC apologists masquerading as PDP members” to take over the party’s headquarters.Ememobong argued that the police had challenged the court’s decision to unseal the PDP secretariat and that doing so may jeopardise the appellate court’s proceedings.

Ememobong further claimed that during the PDP leadership dispute, the police were being partisan.
