The United States Department of State has revealed that it will begin introducing a limited-edition passport featuring the image of President Donald Trump.

The revamped passport is commemorative of the nation’s 250th anniversary of independence, according to Fox News.

Mock-ups of the document, shared on the White House’s official X account, also show excerpts from the Declaration of Independence, the American flag, and Trump’s signature in gold on the inside cover.

A famous painting on another page also shows the nation’s founding fathers signing the Declaration of Independence.

As part of the administration’s “America250” festivities, authorities expect to begin issuing the passports in the summer.

Additionally, a UFC event on the White House South Lawn in June and a Grand Prix race at the National Mall in August are among the scheduled events.

The booklets will feature improved images and personalised artwork. However, they will still retain the same security measures as regular US passports, according to State Department official Tommy Pigott.

Additionally, the cover design has been altered, with the words “United States of America” enlarged and placed above the national crest.

Meanwhile, the back cover is expected to display the American flag with “250” centred among the 13 stars from the 1777 version of the flag.

The official added that only the Washington Passport Agency will issue the documents.

Authorities expect the launch to coincide with anniversary celebrations in July.

Meanwhile, the United States is preparing for a national celebration that will feature several activities, including a fireworks display at Mount Rushmore.
