Atiku Abubakar, the 2027 presidential flag bearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), on Sunday paid a visit to Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, a presidential aspirant in the party’s recently concluded primary.
The former vice-president shared a short video of the visit alongside a statement on his official X account.
He also revealed that he and Hayatu-Deen had “frank and productive” conversations on the state of the nation and the party’s activities.

He added that they have resolved to work together to rebuild Nigeria.
He said, “Our discussions on the state of our nation and party were frank and productive. We resolved to work together in the challenging task of reclaiming and rebuilding our beloved country for the greater good of our people.”
Meanwhile, the visit comes just days after Atiku emerged as the presidential candidate of ADC in the party’s primary election.
BACKSTORY…
Recall that before Atiku won the primary, Hayatu-Deen said he would skip the results announcement because he witnessed what he described as widespread irregularities and vote rigging.
He said the exercise left him deeply disappointed and alleged that manipulation had undermined the primary’s integrity.
Similarly, former minister of transport also rejected the ADC primary result citing gross irregularities.
However, Atiku visited him shortly after.
