Maverick singer Seun Kuti has reacted strongly after his music colleague Wizkid attacked his wife, Yetunde Kuti, amid their ongoing social media feud. The Seun Kuti Wizkid feud has continued to generate reactions on social media following the latest exchange between the two music stars.
Wizkid, who has been engaged in a social media war with Seun Kuti over repeated criticisms from the Afrobeat singer, reportedly described Seun Kuti’s wife as ugly. The comment further escalated the feud and drew sharp criticism from fans.
Angered by the remark, Seun Kuti went live again on social media to lash out at Wizkid and his partner, Jada Pollock. During the livestream, the singer condemned Wizkid for dragging women and children into their disagreement, a move he described as unacceptable in their current feud.
Kuti stressed that Wizkid had no right to insult his wife, especially considering the age of his own partner.
He said, “Real men don’t involve women and kids in their beef. Wizkid that has an old woman as a partner is insulting my wife. You are calling my wife ugly, should I be doing that with you and be insulting your wife?
“Your fans are insulting my wife and kid. They are all over my kid’s page. But all that can’t break me. I want my child to experience what I experienced so that she can be strong like me.”
Seun Kuti further claimed that Wizkid is battling depression and advised him to rediscover himself. He suggested that the ongoing Seun Kuti-Wizkid feud reflects deeper personal struggles.
Kuti continued, “I know you are depressed fam. What you need to do Wizkid is to rediscover yourself, to become Wiz, Kid, or Big Wiz… You don’t have identity – is it Big Wiz? Is it Wizkid? Is it Biggest bird? Na me you still copy.”
