Two military officers are reportedly on the run after being identified as part of a plot to overthrow Nigeria’s democracy.
Following questioning 16 of the military officials who were detained during the first week of October in connection with the failed plot, the military authorities have continued making arrests.

According to TheCable, 18 officers were scheduled for arrest; however, two of them escaped and are currently believed to have fled the country.

MORE ARRESTS…
According to sources, some of the arrested suspects have made “useful statements” to the authorities.

The information retrieved has helped secure more arrests, with a source estimating that over 30 officers are now in custody.
Contrary to widespread information, the coup was not to be executed on October 1, as arrests were only made in the first week of the month.
Official confirmation of the coup plot has not yet come from military authorities.
