The Imo State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), James Okoroma, has held a strategic meeting with all 27 local government Chairmen of the party to strengthen internal unity and prepare for the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, which was convened at the party’s office in New Owerri, saw the LGA Chairmen and other key stakeholders reaffirm their dedication to securing a sweeping victory for the ADC in the upcoming polls.
Addressing the gathering, the State Chairman noted that the meeting highlighted the party’s increasing influence and solid internal unity.
He added that the ongoing membership registration and revalidation exercise has further boosted the party’s strength and widened its support base across the state.
He praised the LGA Chairmen for their maturity, sacrifices, and effective coordination during the distribution and retrieval of the Ward Party Registers.
The State Chairman noted that their commitment to ensuring the exercise was peaceful and well-organized across the state marked a significant step in strengthening the party’s progress.

Okoroma further stressed the critical role of grassroots mobilisation, urging party leaders—especially those at the Ward and LGA levels—to uphold integrity, inclusiveness, and dedication. He reiterated that expanding the party’s reach and attracting more members remains one of ADC’s top priorities.
In their response, the LGA Chairmen, led by Omah Pius Omah, expressed gratitude to the State Working Committee for its visionary and people-centered leadership.
They reaffirmed their collective resolve to strengthen the party, deepen grassroots engagement, and work in unison to ensure the ADC’s victory come 2027 general elections.
The meeting was attended by key party officials and faithful.
