The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Friday responded to the NoiPolls Government Approval Survey, which gave President Bola Tinubu’s administration a 30 per cent approval rating after three years in office.

In addition, the party said more than 73 percent of Nigerians disapproved of Tinubu’s performance during the period under review. It also pointed out that the survey drew a direct link between his performance and the country’s worsening economic conditions.

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the party further added that the survey shows that Nigerians have rejected Tinubu’s administration because of worsening economic hardship, unemployment, and insecurity.

“The tragedy is that after three years in office, the government can no longer claim that these challenges were inherited.

“The responsibility now belongs entirely to President Tinubu and his administration. Leadership is measured by outcomes, not excuses. What should concern the President even more is that the survey found a direct relationship between worsening economic conditions and public disapproval.

Meanwhile, the ADC pointed to the daily realities of rising food prices, shrinking incomes, and worsening insecurity across the country, arguing that after three years in office, the President can no longer blame previous administrations for Nigeria’s problems. It said the 30 per cent approval rating does not amount to success.
