Ten start-ups to benefit from FG’s AI funds
The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy has listed the 10 start-ups chosen to benefit from FG’s N100 million AI Fund.
The Minister of Communication Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, announced the creation of the N100 million fund for AI startups in September. Created by the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR) in partnership with Google, the fund will give N10 million to each of the selected start-up.
Google states that the fund is to encourage AI-driven technology solutions that can potentially make impact.
Alongside the N10 million, the start-ups will also get about $3.5 million in Google Cloud Credits to enhance the scaling of their solutions. They will also be granted access to Google’s world-class AI tools, mentorship from Google’s AI experts, and opportunities to connect with a global network of innovators and partners.
