Police are searching for a nurse who fled after a botched abortion.
A nurse in Oke-Owa, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, is on the run after performing an abortion on Deborah Sokoya, leading to severe bleeding and hospitalization. Sokoya was lured to her sister’s house, where the abortion occurred. Police revealed that Sokoya’s boyfriend had financed a previous abortion in 2023. Both the sister and the boyfriend have been detained for questioning. Efforts are underway to apprehend the fleeing nurse and others involved.
