President Tinubu off to France on two-week working visit

    President Bola Tinubu will leave for a two-week working visit to Paris, France, on Wednesday.

    This was disclosed by the president’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga in a statement on Wednesday.

    Onanuga said ““During the visit, the President will appraise his administration’s mid-term performance and assess key milestones,”

    During the earlier hours of the day, the President along with his entourage was sighted departing his residence.

    According to the Presidency, the president will also “engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary and review the progress of ongoing reforms” during the retreat.

    A part of the statement titled ‘President Tinubu to embark on working visit to Paris’ also stated that “This period of reflection will inform plans to deepen ongoing reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the coming year,”

    The Central Bank of Nigeria reported a notable increase in net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11 billion, a testament to the administration’s fiscal reforms since 2023 when net reserves were $3.99 billion. It said that recent economic successes further demonstrate the President’s commitment to these efforts.

    The President will continue to supervise government operations and be totally involved with his staff while he is overseas.
