Nollywood actor Nonso Diobi has explained why he is single, citing his inability to keep his real-life relationships apart from his on-screen character.
The seasoned actor discussed how his exposure to the spotlight influenced his romantic outlook in an interview with Labista.

“I grew up on TV and don’t know what it means to be a regular guy. I’ve tried to build relationships that would lead to marriage, but there was something I was doing wrong. I was seeing them through a script”, he said.

Diobi, who has starred in several Nollywood films, said that his involvement in the entertainment business made it difficult to distinguish between real relationships and staged romance.
He said that his ability to see relationships as though they were movie sequences hurt his chances of finding a long-term companion.

The actor had received multiple criticism over his single status . In April, he was mentioned in a blog post on 12 Nigerian actors that have refused to get married.
