Popular human rights activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore, has been released by the police.
His release came around 8 p.m. on Friday evening, just hours after he alleged in an interview with newsmen while in detention that the police had denied him access to medical care for his broken hand.
Announcing his freedom during a Facebook live session, Omoyele Sowore said: “Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is me here. I have just been released by the police.

“You know we told them that they can’t sustain this but them no dey hear word. I have just been released from detention after 48 hours by the illegal IGP and his people”.
It was reported that Omoyele Sowore was detained on Wednesday after honoring police invite.
