Men with firearms were shown beating and stripping Elohor in the July 23 video.
After storming the lodge, the armed men accused the corps members of participating in online fraud.
The vigilante members continued to beat the corps members even after they produced their NYSC identification cards, according to a legal non-profit’s description of the incident, with Elohor’s attack being especially brutal.

Since the occurrence, the public has been outraged, leading to the NYSC’s responses and the vigilante men’s arrest.
Speaking about the tragedy and calling for justice, Elohor was interviewed by online celebrity Aprokoking.
According to her account, at 5 p.m., she and other corps members were in their lodge when they heard a violent knock on the door, which was then kicked open.

She claimed that an armed man in a mask who was not wearing a uniform or identifying himself entered the room.
Elohor claimed that when she and her coworkers attempted to demonstrate their NYSC identity cards and explain that they were corps members, they were disregarded.
The males allegedly turned violent, stole their laptops and phones, and ransacked their room, she claimed.
