Dr. Sam Amadi, the former chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, or NERC, has condemned President Bola Tinubu’s “working vacation” travel to Europe.
According to Amadi, it proves the president is not able to handle the obligations of the office.

Recall that the Presidency said that Tinubu left Abuja on September 4 to start a 10-day working holiday in Europe as part of his 2025 annual leave. The statement was signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
According to the statement, the president will spend the period between France and the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria.
Amadi said in a post on X on Thursday that President Tinubu and his staff were arguing against his reelection.
“The president and his team continue to make a strong case why he should not be reelected.

“He has no strength for the hard work required for that office now. He loves, and probably needs, a lot of rest,” Amadi wrote.
