Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, confirmed the Lagos Government action in a statement shared via his official X handle on Tuesday.

Wahab stated that the enforcement team removed the unauthorized structures located at Lafiaji Beach and along Platinum Way in the Igbokusu area of Lekki.

“These shanties not only degrade the environment but also promote indiscriminate waste disposal and other unhygienic practices along our coastal corridors,” he explained.
