Findings reveal that Peter Mbah’s defection is not the first of its kind. Recall that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State and Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State defected to the APC earlier in 2025.

In response, the PDP spokesperson stated that even though the opposition party is facing difficulties, the governor’s departure won’t have a detrimental effect on the party.

Speaking on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’, on Tuesday night, Ologunagba said the strength of the PDP lies in the people, not the governors.
