The Obidient Movement has strongly denied endorsing Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State ahead of the November 8 governorship election in the state.

The allegation was regarded by the Movement as being extremely deceptive, deceitful, and unapproved.

According to a statement signed by Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the National Coordinator of Obidients, the movement supports George Moghalu, the Labour Party’s nominee for governor.

According to the statement: “The Obidient Movement, a nationwide citizens’ platform dedicated to promoting good governance, transparency, and the vision of His Excellency Peter Obi for a new Nigeria, has categorically disowned reports claiming that the Movement has endorsed Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for a second term as Governor of Anambra State.

“The Obidient Movement states unequivocally that it has not authorized, endorsed, or supported any candidate other than Mr. George Moghalu, who was earlier endorsed by His Excellency Peter Obi for the upcoming Anambra gubernatorial election.
